Individuals

My Individual therapy sessions, for ages 12-112, are designed to address your specific physical, mental and emotional history and needs. I can guide you to explore & navigate life's challenges. Through a collaborative and supportive approach, I aim to empower you to overcome obstacles and live a healthier, more resilient & fulfilling life.

Couples & Families

My Couples & Family therapy sessions focus on first assessing your deeper needs and the roots of your concerns, then empowering you to:

1. Deepen empathic understanding

2. Learn how to have healthy, honest communication

3. Build true trust and secure attachment in order to strengthen your relationship.

I provide a neutral and supportive environment for couples and families to address & process fears, concerns, hopes, dreams and needs in order to facilitate a deeper, healthier, more secure sense of love, belonging and attachment between each member of the couple or family.

First Responders,
Frontline Workers & Military (active or veteran)
& Their Families

My sessions come from the unique perspective of someone who understands first-hand the life, family dynamics, and perspective of First Responders, Frontline Workers and Military personnel, because I have lived it myself. I have helped many 'comrade in uniform' clients to heal from family relationship issues, operational stress burn-out, compassion fatigue and PTSD that come from what we experience on the job and/or in other parts of our lives but affect our jobs and family relationships.

I am committed to supporting you to become more resilient and less vulnerable to the unique stresses and strains that occur from serving your community and your country. Together we can help you & your family members to build more positive coping skills, healthy family and social support connections, and work-life balance. I can also facilitate helping you and your family transition from a life of 'serving and protecting' into civilian life or retirement that is just as, or even more, satisfying and enriching after service.

The bottom line: None of us can serve well when our own inner reserves are depleted.  The health & quality of our lives outside of service are vital to how well we are able to serve, protect & care for others.

“I wasn’t so keen on seeing a therapist, but when I heard about how she helped a coworker and that she was a former first responder, I decided to give it a shot & I'm glad I did.

I'm so grateful for Mary Kate's support and guidance during a challenging time in my life & career as a first responder. Her holistic approach and care have been invaluable in helping me get back to the job I love and have a more balanced life outside of work too.

She also helped me and my spouse, who is also a first responder to connect and care for one another better. Now we are a happier couple who know how to support & enjoy one another better... both on and off the job."
